Guest Policies

Guests

Guests are welcome to enjoy all the facilities of the Plantation. Members are responsible at all times for the conduct of their guests and shall remain responsible for all damages caused or charges not paid by their guests.

Dining Room:

Members may or may not accompany their guests. Guests may pay by credit card or charge to the hosting member's account if such prior arrangements have been made.

Private Parties:

Private functions must be sponsored by members. Member attendance at the sponsored event is suggested but not required. Copies of the Member Sponsored Banquet Fees/Service Charge Policy are available in the Food and Beverage Manager's office.

Tennis:

A member may sponsor guests for tennis subject to court availability. See fees page for guest charges. All local, island guests must be accompanied by a member.

Croquet / Bocce Ball:

Wexford Plantation maintains an outstanding facility near the clubhouse for lawn sports such as croquet and bocce, and there is active membership participation in both games. Croquet instruction is available on a seasonal basis, depending upon the interest of the membership. In addition, members frequently organize afternoon tournaments and social events on the lawn.

Croquet and Bocce equipment is available for use by members and their guests, and may be signed-out from the Executive Office in the clubhouse. If you desire assistance in setting up the court, please call the General Manager or Executive Assistant in advance, at least 24 hours prior to play.

Golf:

All tee times between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 noon are reserved for members and their accompanied guests.

Member Accompanied Play:

Members may bring a maximum of seven (7) guests unless otherwise approved by the General Manager or Director of Golf. Personal credit cards will be accepted for payment of accompanied guest fees. During Heritage week, members are limited to three (3) guests.

Unaccompanied Play

Members may sponsor up to twelve (12) foursomes per year. Unaccompanied guest play is limited to two foursomes per day. Personal credit cards will be accepted for payment of unaccompanied guest fees. NO unaccompanied play is allowed during Heritage week or on Mondays when the golf shop is closed.

Local Guest Play

Guests who live within a fifty (50) mile radius of Hilton Head Island are limited to playing twice per month unless a special exception is granted.

Member Sponsored Group Play

To schedule golf for a group of more than twenty (20), the member must obtain prior approval from the Board of Directors.

On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, all member sponsored groups of twelve (12) or more will be scheduled to play after 12:00 noon.
