In particular it is a pleasure to acknowledge the contributions made by two people: Ken Skodacek for his fascinating account of Wexford's origins; and Mary Tracy for compiling a history of Wexford covering the last twenty five years.

The picture on this page shows a view of Wexford as the community is today with the Cross-Island bridge in the background. The pictures on the following page show Wexford while our Harbour was being created, before the lock was built, when only three houses existed, and when the only Island with a road was Cambridge Circle.
