Kathy then summarized the planning that has taken place since our first meeting on September 23rd 2007. She also described the status of the Club, its committees, bylaws and plans. Full details of her report may be read in her PowerPoint Presentation.
On Friday January 4th 2008, thanks to Doug and Gail Tozour who generously opened their home for a "Bring a Bottle and Food" party, over seventy ETC members enjoyed a splendid and convivial evening together.
The first Local Excursion will be a Theater Evening at the Carolina Arts Center - a reception followed by the play on Saturday February 9th 2008.
The first planned excursion will be a shopping excursion to Atlanta on February, 20th to 22nd 2008 at the Ritz Carlton organized by the Regional Planning Committee.
At the Board meeting on January 4th 2008, there were 75 dues-paying families representing 143 individual members or about one sixth of the Plantation.
The ETC Board of Governors will meet monthly on the first Friday of each month. It is currently expected that this meeting will be followed by a general presentation to, and discussion with, the membership. These meetings will be followed by an informal dinner in the Clubhouse. As trips take place, members' experience will be reported at these meetings.
